The Vulpera Ecological Collective is dedicated to promoting awareness, appreciation, and protection of wildlife and natural ecosystems. Through education, outreach, and conservation advocacy, we aim to inspire people to value biodiversity and take action to protect the planet.
• Promote public awareness of wildlife and ecosystems. Biodiversity awareness is declining globally and it's people like us who have to constantly remind the general society that it's important to maintain this balance.
• Provide educational content about ecology and conservation. Not only is conservation important, but education is too. We must teach our next generation to better care for the planet in order to maintain this difference.
• Highlight lesser-known species and their importance. Many times, kids encounter animals outside of what they were taught. It's no wolf, no fox, no bear. They end up getting hurt or hurting the animal. It's important that these species are brought to attention and the dos and don'ts of handling that particular species.
• Encourage sustainable environmental practices. Believe it or not, each day you drive your car to work, each day you run an appliance when not being used, it's harming the environment. Luckily, there are much more sustainable ways that we would like to increase awareness of to reduce harmful emissions like carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, and other air pollutants.
• Support and collaborate with conservation initiatives. In this scenario, teamwork and cooperation is crucial. We need all the help we can get, and the added efforts will eventually make a much bigger difference than an individual could ever hope to achieve. It is this time that we come together when the planet needs it most.
Our approach to these goals evolve from simple tasks like educational social media posts (e.g. our Animal of the Day) and informational articles to partnering with other initiatives with the same goal and community outreach and engagement.
Our vision is a world where people feel connected to nature and actively work to preserve the ecosystems that sustain life on Earth. We may not realize it at first, but we're actively using resources the planet has given us. We're using wood from trees for construction, yet we aren't replanting them. We're extracting plants for medicinal uses, yet we don't seed them. We're using coal and oil for energy and fuel, yet we're turning a blind eye on air pollution and a changing climate. We're quickly running low on resources all while reversing what the planet has evolved into.
But why? For money. Money exists so we could regulate trade, so we wouldn't run out of resources too quickly. And because of this, people have become greedy, become billionaires, leading large corporations to take it all for themselves. It's exactly what we'd hoped wouldn't happen. No matter what kind of currency we used, it'll always have the same outcome, and unfortunately, there's no simple fix for this. That's why our vision and goals are what they are. It's crucial at this point in time to raise awareness about our own actions, and the deadline is drawing near for us to fix it.
